President of the federal republic of Nigeria, His excellency, Muhammadu Buhari has spoken on the tragic incident, which happened at Abule Ado yesterday. 

President Muhammadu Buhari to his Twitter page to send his deepest sympathies to the victims, their families, the people and government of Lagos state. 

He wrote: "I received with sadness the news of the explosion in Lagos, which caused loss of lives and property. While NNPC makes efforts to determine the cause of the incident, I send my deepest sympathies to the victims, their families, and the government and the people of Lagos state"
