Lagos State Government has suspended the Easter edition of its Eko-City Farmers' market which had been slated for Sunday, 29th March 2020 at Tafawa Balewa Square due to the fast spreading virus, corona.

The reason for the suspension of the event was explained by the state commissioner for Agriculture, prince Gbolahan Lawal. The reason for the suspension was adopted by the government to prevent the spread of the virus.
The suspension is important because it will prevent everyone associated with the organization of the Eko-City Farmers' market from being infected with the virus.
