New York Times correspondent, Callimachi's husband becomes US citizen after years of paperwork.

New York Times correspondent, Rukmini Callimachi's husband, Mikhael Lafarge has finally become a citizen of the United States of America after years of paperwork. 


Taking to her Twitter page, Callimachi revealed that her husband has finally become a citizen of the United States of America after years of paperwork in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. 

"After years of paperwork, in the midst of a pandemic, my husband became a US citizen today," She tweeted. 

Rukmini Callimachi is a correspondent for the New York Times covering ISIS and violence extremism reports. She once worked with the NBC, as an analyst. She is a Romanian-American. 

Callimachi, her and her grandmother fled from Romania during the communist regime to Switzerland, from there to the United States of America.
