ViacomCBS terminates long-running relationship with Nick Cannon over Anti-Semitic comments.

ViacomCBS has terminated its long-running deal with super star, Nick Cannon over his anti-Semitic comments during his podcast in June 2020.

On the 30th of June, 2020, during an episode of "Cannon's Class," the super star, Nick Cannon during an interview with Professor Griff said, "It's never a hate speech, you can't be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. That's our birthright. We are the true Hebrews" - Nick was referring to Black people as the "true Hebrews".

A spokesperson for ViacomCBS released a statement to Variety, stating that the company is terminating its long-running relationship with Nick Cannon.
The statement reads, "ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism. We have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast" Cannon's Class" on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. While we support ongoing education and dialogue in the fight bigotry, we are deeply troubled that Nick has failed to acknowledge or apologise for perpetuating semitism, and we are terminating our relationship with him. We are committed to doing better in our response to incidents of anti-Semitism, racism, and bigotry. ViacomCBS will have further announcements on our efforts to combat hate of all kinds."
