"Werey dey disguise" - Dj Cuppy's fans react to how she showed up for end SARS protest in Lekki

Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known, Dj Cuppy, has finally joined the end SARS protest/moment at Lekki Toll Gate on Friday.

Recall that Dj Cuppy revealed to her fans that she had been asked to self-isolate after returning from Dubai. She was compelled to a seven-day compulsory self-isolation.

Yesterday, Cuppy took to her Twitter page to reveal that she had finally joined the protest. Surprisingly, it was only one protester that spotted Dj Cuppy at Lekki Toll Gate.

After sharing photos and a caption, her fans (Cupcakes) took to their social media platforms to react to how she showed up for the end SARS protest. Her fans started using the popular Nigerian/pidginised words to describe her style of disguise - "Werey/weyrey dey disguise."

On Friday I went to protest not to please people but because I NEED to tell my children that I was part of history. Lazy Nigerian Youth are changing this country for generations to come and as a 27 year-old, I couldn't be prouder. An experience I will never forget! End SARS," Dj Cuppy tweeted.
