In his post, he says he got inspired by retired footballer, Thierry Henry and he admires him for his style of play, his technical brilliance, great goals and his success in general. He also appreciated Cristiano and Messi for motivating him to reach the level he is now.

Winners of the night:
The FIFA Awards was held virtually at FIFA's Headquarter in Zurich.
1. Best FIFA Men's player: Robert Lewandowski
2. Best FIFA men's coach: Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp
3. Best FIFA women's player: England's Lucy Bronze
4. Best FIFA Women's coach: Sarina Weignen

"Thank you so much for this award, it’s an incredible honour to receive this tonight.
As a young boy, I was always inspired by @thierryhenry . I admired him, his style of play, his technical brilliance, great goals, and the successes he achieved on an individual level and for his clubs and country.

"I dreamed of reaching that level.
And as a professional footballer, I was lucky to have witnessed first-hand the achievements of the two greatest players of the last decade @cristiano and @leomessi.
We often competed on the same pitch, but more often than not they won the most important trophies and prizes. Their successes and consistent standard of excellence motivated me to reach that level🔝

"It is a great honor for me to be in such an honorable group.
It is an amazing reward for years of hard work and a reminder to never stop dreaming.
But no player can win an individual award without the strongest team behind him. And for me it’s no different. I want to thank my Club @fcbayern for the platform they’ve given me to succeed and to achieve my dreams. I also want to thank my colleagues on the Polish national team.

"I also want to thank my wife @annalewandowskahpba and my family and friends for the continuous support and love that is the strongest foundation for my achievement," he wrote.
