Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems charged to court in Uganda

Nigerian singers; Omah Lay and Tems Baby, have been charged to court in Uganda following their performances in the country. In a press statement released by the Uganda Police Force yesterday, the concert was flagged as 'Unauthorised.' (Read More Here).



In a tweet, Uganda Police Force revealed that Nigerian singer Stanley Omah Didia (Omah Lay), Tems Baby (Temilade Openiyi) and Muyiwa Awomiyi (Tems' manager), have been charged to court for breaking COVID-19 guidelines. 

Nigerians are currently angry at Ugandan singer, Bebe Cool for involving the police in Omah and Tems' performances. He was the master mind behind the arrest of the aforementioned Nigerian singers. (Read More Here).

"The Nigerian trio of Stanley Omah Didia alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openiyi alias Tems and Muyiwa Awomiyi have been charged to court in Makindye on charges of negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the penal code act. 

"The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP. They were jointly charged with four other Ugandans. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020," tweets from Uganda Police Force.
