President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has slammed international news media; CNN and BBC in a recent tweet.
Taking to his official Twitter page, President Muhammadu Buhari, says he's disgusted by the video coverage, especially from CNN and BBC on End SARS protests that took place in October.
President Buhari is currently trending on Twitter as Nigerians are blasting him for his tweet. We know all know how President Buhari is! - he replies no one. During the End SARS protests, it took him weeks before he could speak live on Television. When he finally did, *sighs*.
According to President Buhari, he stated the main reason he's disgusted. His main reason is that CNN and BBC never had a video coverage on the following:
1. The policemen who were killed.
2. The television and police stations that were burnt during the protests.
3. The prisons that were opened.
"It must be said that foreign press coverage of the end SARS violence was not balance, especially from CNN and BBC. I was disgusted by the coverage, which didn't give attention to the policemen that were killed, the stations that were burnt, and the prisons that were opened," President Muhammadu Buhari tweeted.
