Fani-Kayode indirectly calls Nigerians 'Hypocrites' for celebrating Trump's permanent ban on social media

Former Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has indirectly called Nigerians 'Hypocrites' for celebrating Donald Trump's permanent ban on social media. President Donald Trump has been banned on social media over inciting of violence and anarchy.

In the early hours of Saturday, Donald Trump's Twitter was permanently banned, following the saga of Capitol Hills, Washington D.C. His Facebook and Instagram accounts are also banned.

Taking to his Twitter page to defend his master (Trump), Fani-Kayode, said that Nigerians can't be celebrating Trump's ban and at the same time be against social media bill. Recall that last year (2020), Members of The National Assembly tried to shut down 'freedom of speech' in Nigeria through social media bill.

"You cannot celebrate banning @realDonaldTrump on Facebook and Twitter and at the same time say you are against the social media bill that the Buhari Govt wants to introduce. You are either for freedom of speech or you are not. You cannot have it both ways. Censorship is evil."

In another news, Femi Fani-Kayode, has welcomed a baby boy with his wife. He made the announcement on social media as he shared a photo of him and his newborn.

"Welcome to the world son! You're a great blessing. I'm so happy and so proud of you. God bless and keep you now and always. You shall fulfill your purpose and achieve destiny," he tweeted.
