Taking to his Instagram page, Emem Ufot, gave thanks to God for sparing his life. The accident that he survived claimed lives of four people; who were burnt beyond recognition. The accident took place at Atoyo inbound Ogbere, along Ijebu-Ode/Benin Expressway.
The accident took place at about 11:05 AM. Four people burnt to death and 10 people survived. Emem was among the 10 people who survived. Narrating the incident, Vanguard Newspaper revealed:
"According to eye witnesses’ account, a tanker laden with Black Oil was spilling its content on the road due to a leakage and the driver had to stop when fellow drivers drew his attention to this.
To avoid the unforseen, the traffic officials in the axis had to divert and re-route traffic so that traffic inbound Benin can join the outbound traffic section to save other vehicles from having contact with the spilled content which had covered the length and breadth of the inbound section."
In Emem's post, he wrote:
"R.I.P is what they planned for me but it seems GOD had other plans.
My life was almost stolen from me on the 14th Feb 2021
I can't believe I'm the one typing this....
Pls help me THANK GOD & remember GOD is not finished with you.
#MyReBirth."
