Mariam Nnalongo Nabatanzi, is Uganda's most fertile woman with over 44 children before she clocked 40. According to reports, she had all her children even before she clocked 36 years. According to the reporter, Nabatanzi married her husband at the age of 13 and started giving birth immediately.
Technically, she started having her children from the age of 13. According to her, she says she was too fertile and doctors advised her not to do anything about it, because it might lead to her death. Nabatanzi lives with her huge number of children in Kabimbiri, a district in Central Uganda.
When asked how she names her children, she responded. According to her, she says she got a book full of names when she first had her twins. When her children began to multiple, she started naming her children after popular Nollywood stars, such as: Ciara, Desmond Elliott, Genevieve Nnaji, Patience Ozokwor, etc.
She also revealed that her husband abuses and beats her. He also threatened to kill her once and doesn't contribute to the feeding and school fees of their children. She got married to a 40-year-old poor Alhaji, who happens to be a Catholic and a Muslim.
10 of her children are currently in secondary school while 14 of them are in primary school. The others were forced to withdraw due to lack of sufficient money. According to Nabatanzi, she says she hates begging; which made her learn some handworks/trades, such as: cake making, herbal medicines, bricklaying, tailoring, cooking and decoration.
24 of her children live with her, while the rest are in places she didn't mention. She spends hundreds of dollars just to send her children to school. According to her, she says she wanted just 6 kids, unfortunately it didn't happen. She delivered all kids just like a Hebrew woman would - safely. She had her first twins at the age of 13 in 1994.
Nabatanzi is currently left with 38 children after losing six (6) of them. She's currently 41 years old. She had 6 sets of twins, 4 sets of triplets and 5 sets of quads. According to Nabatanzi, her stepmother managed to kill four of her siblings that way. She added that she escaped her evil stepmother when she got married. She was said to have had an abusive marriage. Nabatanzi said the man was also polygamous, so he had several wives and kids; whom Nabatanzi needed to take care of.
