Authority of Auchi Poly bans students from using cars on campus due to oppression

Oppression much? The school authority of Auchi Polytechnic has banned students from using their cars on campus. This comes after many lecturers got intimidated by the students who park their expensive cars on campus.

We have seen different scenarios of students and lecturers arguing over car space at car parks on different campuses. The restriction given to the students of Auchi Poly begins from second semester examinations week.

The Restriction Notice reads:

"RESTRICTION TO THE USE OF VEHICLES INTO THE CAMPUS DURING THE 2ND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

Following intelligence reports received by management, it has become expedient to put the following measures in place with effect from Wednesday, 10th March, 2021.
1. Students are not to bring their vehicles into campus.
2. Security checks will be carried out by both staff of the security Unit and police at the various entrance points of the Polytechnic.
3. Students are advised to always carry their identity cards.
Management solicits the cooperation of all students in ensuring a peaceful environment during and after the examinations.

Dr. G. E. Ihionkhan
Registrar."
