Taking to its Twitter page, the management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, says that one of its staff was attacked with machete by a customer. The incident happened during disconnection of power supply (wires) in the street of the unidentified man. The angry man came out with a machete and attacked the Obiajulu with it.
Narrating the incident, EEDC wrote:
"GRUESOME ATTACK ON EEDC STAFF
A staff of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) identified as Obiajulu Atta, an Operations Technician attached to Umudike Service Center under Umuahia District, Abia State was attacked this afternoon by a customer.
The customer, whose full details are yet to be known was to be disconnected for nonpayment of electricity bill, in the process he got infuriated, went for a matchet and cut Obiajulu’s hand.GRUESOME ATTACK ON EEDC STAFF

First aid was immediately administered on the victim at a private Clinic and subsequently rushed to the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia, for proper medical attention.
