Highlife singer, Chief Dr. Emeka Morocco Maduka laid to rest six months after he died

Popular highlife singer, Chief Dr. Emeka Morocco Maduka, has finally been laid to rest after six months he died. He passed away on the 29th of October, 2020. He was 76 years when he died. 



His death was made known by the chairman of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (Anambra Chapter), Ikeme Mazeli. His statement reads: "With a heavy heart of sorrow…We, the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music Legend, Dr Prince Morroco Maduka…..Ozonweluibe. He passed on this afternoon (Thursday, October 29th, 2020). All other arrangements as regards his planting to mother earth will be communicated to all of us later.”

He was buried in Anambra state on the 7th of April, 2021, in his compound. His burial was attended by friends and family members mostly. Chief Dr. Emeka began his career when he was only 13. Few months he died, he celebrated his 60th anniversary in music.
