A fantastic and incredible Island located in Africa, Seychelles, has commissioned two powerful solar systems that will supply 93% and 94% power to households. Most African countries are moving forward but Nigeria is moving backwards.
One has a capacity of 250 kWp with 510 panels, and will provide electricity for 94% of Farquhar Island.
The one in Astove Island has a capacity of 150 kWp (342 solar panels), and will supply 93% of households there.
Seychelles is building a 3.2MW solar farm in Desroches. It is expected to be commissioned in June this year.
The solar farm will have a battery storage of 6.2MWh.
In another news, Seychelles, has successfully vaccinated over 66% of its population of 98,837 people. This is an incredible record for an African country.
