"We didn't receive any N10M" - Iniobong Umoren's brother debunks collecting bribe

Late jobseeker, Iniobong Umoren Ephraim's brother, Ukeme Umoren, has debunked the rumour that he and his sister had collected N10M to halt seeking justice for their dead sister.

The allegation came in after his sister was awarded with an amazing job in Port Harcourt. Alot of Nigerians started saying that they might have received money from top men, in order to stop the Frank Akpan's case from going to court.

His statement reads: "I write to dismiss false publications on social media, alleging that we have compromised in seeking justice for our late younger sister, Iniubong Umoren. This is not true.

"I have also read the reports alleging that we have received N10m bribe to kill the matter. The report is not only baseless, but irrational.

"I wish to also state that we have not compromised in any way, neither have we received any money and will never do so to stop the wheel of justice for our sister, whose blood is crying for vengeance.

"We buried our sister after the autopsy was carried out as advised by medical doctors and lawyers who will present same as evidence in the prosecution of the matter.

"That in the meantime, we are patiently waiting for the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN to call off its strike for financial autonomy so that we can give evidence in the Court.

"I thank the public for their show of love right from when our sister went missing. We are deeply grateful for your support and prayers.

"I assure the public that no amount of propaganda will make us as a family to back out or be cowed from seeking justice for our sister, who committed no crime in searching for a decent job."
