IMSU student found dead after declaring intentions to run for political seat in school

A 300-level Law student of Imo State University, Kingsley Chiwueze, has been found dead after he went missing for five days. His disappearance came two weeks after he declared his intention to run for a political seat at the University.

Kingsley went missing on Monday, April 26, 2021 and his phone couldn't be reached by his family, friends and course mates. He was later found dead. He hailed from Oguta Local government, Imo state. 

According to a source, Kingsley declared his intention to run for the office of Senate President of the National Association of Imo State Students two weeks ago. After his declaration, he went missing.

The President of the Students Union Government of IMSU, Arinze Oguike, who confirmed the development on Sunday, May 2, revealed that the corpse of the law undergraduate was found in the morgue of Umuguma General Hospital, Owerri.

The SUG leader said: "The attendant told us that his corpse was brought by people from a private hospital on Whetheral Road. We will go to the hospital to find out how they took custody of the student’s corpse."
