The office of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution company in Ogbumnabali in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was on Thursday closed by the landlord over unpaid rent.
A social media user, Stephen Momoh shared photos of the closure, showing the landlord sitting in front of the red padlocked door.
Another photo showed a staff member attending to PHED customers in a car.
When PUNCH Online reached out to the spokesperson for PHED, Chioma Aninwe, she said a communication gap led to the incident.
In a text message to our correspondent, she said, "It was a communication gap. It has been sorted and business is ongoing there."
