According to him (Garba), he says the president doesn't like causing gridlock and his security men molesting innocent people. He also said that president Buhari doesn't want to take the attention away from Ibrahim Attahiru on his funeral.
Garba Shehu made the statement when being asked by presenters of Arise Tv.
Garba Shehu says:
"The President is someone who's so concerned about the safety and wellbeing of ordinary Nigerians on the street.
He didn't go to the National Mosque, because he doesn't like the idea of closing roads and security men molesting people. Innocent people on the road for the President to have the right of way."
He added: "It's a mourning period.
The President doesn't want to take the attention from that."
