(Video) Reason frustrated Nigerian youths opened Idiroko border REVEALED

It was earlier reported that frustrated Yoruba Nation agitators had angrily stormed Idiroko border in Ogun State to open it. Recall that in 2019, it was reported that FG had ordered the border be closed and the seaport should be used instead, Kossyderrickent reports. 

In the afternoon on May 29, 2021, angry Yoruba Nation youths stormed Idiroko and opened the border leading to Benin Republic. According to the narrator and eyewitness, she says that the youths opened the border for goods and food items to be smuggled in.

According to the eyewitness, she says that food items became expensive immediately the border was closed. The main reason for the opening of border, is for goods and food items to be transported into Nigeria again from the border.

The youths believe that if the border is opened again and food items are allowed in from there, the high cost of food items will be reduced.

A few months ago, Sunday Igboho, said he was going to open the border. Nigerians thought he was joking. He has finally achieved it through his agitators.
