Mr Macaroni addresses his involvement with two Ponzi scheme companies he did an advert campaign for

Nigerian comedian, Debo "Mr Macaroni" Adedayo, has addressed his involvement with two ponzi scheme companies, he once did an advert campaign for. (Read More Here).

Taking to his YouTube channel, Mr Macaroni, addressed his involvement with two ponzi scheme companies, such as: Map.NG and FarmFunds Africa.

His statement reads:

"Nigerians are going through a lot of hardship right now and it has become more important to address the rate at which Ponzi schemes are being used to defraud Nigerians of their hard earned money.
I am not telling anyone how to spend or invest their money, I’m just appealing that we be more careful in our dealings so as to avoid disappointments. A lot of people are desperate to make more but I hope we can be more careful while exploring these avenues.

"I also want to use this medium to clarify my engagement with The Map.NG and FarmFunds Africa.

"The Map.NG at the time they contacted us, asked us to do an awareness for their ‘Customer Relationship Management Program’ which was what we did. We went to their office at Lekki, and we saw people taking the course.. we confirmed their location and also confirmed that they are a registered company. Unknown to me, it was a Ponzi scheme which a lot of people were already actively involved in and the CRM program was only a cover for the Ponzi scheme going on in the background.
When we found out, it was too late. They blocked our contacts and all efforts to reach them proved abortive.

"FarmFunds Africa on the other hand wasn’t a Ponzi Scheme. As a matter of fact, a reputable Nigerian vouched for the Company and persuaded us to help the brand grow as it was a new company trying to gain grounds. Again, before taking the job, we did our background work, visited their office and confirmed that everything was in order. How they are unable to pay investors is what baffles me..
Unlike The Map, the CEO till today still takes my call as I am constantly still trying to ensure that everyone who invested one Naira gets all their money back.
The story has remained the same since and I am using my platform again to call on them to pay back those they are owing!!

"Conclusively, before taking any job, we will always do our background check to ensure that these brands are legitimate because I strongly believe that some of you will only trust a brand because some of us vouched for them and I never want to take that trust for granted. However, we can’t know it all. That’s why I beg of everyone to also please do their checks and be aware of the risks before doing anything that involves investment.
I will continue to use my voice and platform in calling out these people and ensuring that they do what is right. however, we must also Shine Our Eyes!!"
