A motorcyclist cum armed robber and phone snatcher, Fireboy, has been burnt to death after killing a young girl in Ughelli North Local Area of Delta State. He was burnt alive on Sunday at exactly 7:25pm. (Read More Here).
According to an eyewitness, Fireboy and his gang stormed a woman (mother) and a young girl's (daughter) residence on Dumez Road, opposite a popular bar in the town.
Fireboy and his gang stole the woman's phone at gunpoint, but the young girl refused to release her phone to them. While struggling, she was shot dead and her phone was eventually taken from her.
An eyewitness says:
"The armed robbers were three in number and came with a bike. They went to the woman and her daughter to rob them of their phones. They had succeeded in collecting the mother’s phone at gunpoint, but the daughter refused to give them her phone. They, therefore, shot her and collected the phone.
"The sound of the gunshot and the victim’s mother’s wailing alerted people around who went after them in chase. They ran to where they parked their bike and made to start it for their escape but the bike failed to start. At this point, the other two ran away on foot but the third one was still trying to start the bike before he was caught, beaten and burnt with his bike."
Another eyewitness said that Fireboy was caught by other motorcyclists after he and his gang shot a motorcyclist dead after stealing his bike (okada) from him. That's not the truth. Fireboy was burnt to death because he killed a young girl.
