LThe Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a civil servant, Usman Hammawa, 41, for allegedly beating his 36-year-old wife to death. (Read More Here).
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement said the suspect was arrested on Thursday, July 22, in Ganye LGA of the state.
According to Nguroje, the suspect killed his wife of 16 years by hitting her head on the wall after she demanded a refund of her N1000 from him.
“The suspect engaged his late wife, Rabiyatu Usman, in a fight following a little argument that ensued between them when the deceased demanded the refund of her N1000 from him.
Angered by her action, the Suspect applied force on his late wife by hitting her head on the wall as a result of which she fell down unconscious and was rushed to the Hospital where she was confirmed dead. They have five children together.
The Suspect was apprehended by the Police in Ganye Local Government following report received from a relative of the deceased and a Good Samaritan,” he said.
