Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, meets Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and performs at First Ever Earthshot Prize Awards

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has represented Africa well at the first ever Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony at the Alexandra Palace, London, England, on Sunday. (Read More Here).

Yemi Alade dazzled in a red and different African attires and also performed her hit song, "Rain", which was reportedly chosen by Prince William and Duchess Kate (Duke and Duchess of Cambridge). 

The exclusive and globally broadcast event was organised by the Royal Foundation, which is led by Prince William of the British royal family and recognises innovative solutions to the world’s environmental challenges.

In attendance were: Mohammed Salah, Danni Alves, of entertainment; David Oyelowo, Emma Thompson, from the British government; Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, the Royal family; Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton, and many incredible personalities.

The entire event was broadcast on BBC Channel 1 in the UK.

It was at the event Yemi Alade met and spoke with Ed Sheeran. During their conversation, Ed Sheeran argued with Yemi Alade that Ghanaian or Ghana Jollof is better than Nigerian Jollof.

In the end, Ed Sheeran promised Yemi Alade that he would visit Nigeria some day to perform and also to have a taste of Nigerian Jollof rice.
