"Seek presidential pardon before it's too late" - Nota says as PSC probes how DJ Shimza scored R150,000 cookout gig with the ministry of tourism

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that rapper and media personality, Lavida Nota, has told Dj Shimza to ask for presidential pardon before it's too late. (Read More Here).

Nota made the statement on Twitter after it was reported that the PSC through, PSC commissioner Dr Bruno Luthuli, is investigating how popular DJ Shimza's Tembisa restaurant scored a R150,000 government gig allegedly without applying for it or being in the department of tourism's database.

The probe comes after the commission received a complaint which was lodged through the national anti-corruption hotline.

Dj Shimza's restaurant, The Hang Awt 1632, is located at Endayini, Tembisa. According to information, the $150,000 gig happened during Mamoloko Kubayi's time. 

Lavida Nota wrote:

"A THREAD: Yo @Shimza01 I hear U’R under investigation… I wonder how you’re gonna spin these turn tables, ask for a Presidential pardon now before it’s too late.
PSC probes how DJ Shimza scored R150,000 cookout gig with the ministry of tourism…" 

The letter from the Public Service Commission reads: "It is also alleged that the tender was irregularly awarded as DJ Shimza was not registered on the department's database of service providers and that normal procurement regulations were contravened as other service providers that are registered on the database were not considered.

"Furthermore, DJ Shimza is alleged to have stated on social media (Twitter) that he was simply called by the department to submit a quotation and that he was subsequently awarded the tender. After consederation of the complaint, the PSC has decided to investigate the complaint..."

Blogger M.M wrote: "The Public Service Commission has launched an investigation to look into DJ Shimza's HangAwt restaurant in Tembisa for unduly benefiting R150,000 from a government tender which was allegedly not in the department of tourism's database."
