LGBTQI KILLING: Family confirms DNA result shows Sam Mbatha was burnt alive in his car in 2021

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that the Mbatha family has said that the DNA result of Sam Mbatha is positive, showing he's was burnt alive in his car. (Read More Here).

Recall that in June 2021, it was reported that Sam Mbatha was attacked by some unknown people. He was put in his trunk of his car and was set on fire. 

Releasing an official statement, the family of Sam Mbatha says that his DNA result is out and it shows he was the one in the car. His bone has been found in the incident his gruesome murder took place. 

According to his family, says his funeral arrangements will be announced soon to the general public. 

Popular blogger Kgopolo wrote: "STATEMENT: 
DNA confirms Sam Mbatha’s identity. 
Sadly, this serves as official confirmation that Sam was murdered. 
According to statement below the family will share memorial & funeral details in due course."

The DNA statement from Mbatha family reads:

"We would like to appreciate every person who ever showed us support and distributed posts in regards to Sam friends, colleagues and organisations, who took interest in sharing our story, the SAPS and forensics who helped us during our time of pain. 

"We have finally received DNA results and they are of a positive match in regards to Sam's identity; we can now proceed and make arrangement on lying him to rest. 
We will communicate details of the memorial and funeral arrangements in due course. 

"Thank you

The Mbatha family."

The rate at which LGBT members are being killed in South Africa these days is becoming alarming. Yesterday, rumours have it that Sam Mbatha was killed because of his sexuality - gay.

According to the rumours, his attackers put him in the boot of his car and set him on fire. Now, his family members have come out to say that they aren't sure if he was murdered because of his sexuality.

Sam Mbatha's death came after Anele Bhengu was killed for being a lesbian in South Africa. Friends and LGBT have taken to social media to trend the hash tag, #JusticeForSamMbatha. 

Sam was a promising Marketing, Brand and Digital communications professional. He had just recently bought his first car and his career was finally taking off. He was the only hope of his mom. 

He also a sport analyst and an alumni of North West University. 

"Anele Bhengu (22) was found raped and brutally stabbed to a point where her intestines were hanging out of her body in Kwamakhutha KZN. R.I.P Anele," a source says. 

The statement reads:

"On behalf of Sam Junior Mbatha's family and close friends, we would like the public to note the following:

"Sam's car was found burnt on Thursday morning. 
The SAPs (South African Police), family and close friends have not declared the identity of the victim who burned in the car. 
The family has not issued any statement to the public prior to this one, as they are respecting the laws and procedures of the investigation. 

"The family humbly requests everyone who is publishing speculations on any publishing platforms including social media, to take down with immediate effect such posts and to refrain from publishing further speculations in order to allow the SAPs to conduct its investigations.

"Thank you and we hope the public will respect the family and investigation process.
