VIDEO: Nigerians and angry fans storm National Stadium in Abuja to destroy things after Super Eagles failed to qualify for FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022

In the trending video, a few angry fans were seen destroying things and also trying to enter the dressing room to beat up Nigerian players after a disappointing game tonight.

Nigeria host Ghana in the second leg of their 2022 World Cup playoff on Tuesday, knowing only a win can ensure they grab one of the five tickets to represent the continent in Qatar.

The Super Eagles failed to score in Kumasi last Friday, hence they have no goal advantage ahead of today’s match.

Away goals are still in force in the Africa qualifying series.

If Nigeria had scored at the Baba Yara Stadium, they would have been in a better position to finish the job on home soil.

Nigeria then took control of the game and equalised after Ademola Lookman was brought down in the box by Dennis Odoi. The decision went to VAR and William Troost-Ekong made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Nigeria thought they'd taken the lead in the 34th minute but were aggrieved when VAR ruled out Victor Osihmen's strike for offside
