Idamoyibo, who was the Head of Music Department, was abducted on April 9, at Eku of the state, while on his way back to Abraka after a family meeting.

His kidnappers had demanded a N50million ransom from his wife, but sources claimed the sum of N3million was eventually paid to his abductors.

Nigerian Tribune reports that he was released on Sunday night after the abductors were said to have collected N3 million as ransom.

According to the report, he was dumped unconscious on a lonely bridge in Abraka, where some passersby stumbled on him and rushed him to the hospital. He was, however, pronounced dead on arrival.
