Nairobi man, Alvin Linus Chivondo, sentenced to one year in prison or pay Sh100,000 fine for shoplifting from a Naivas supermarket

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that a 21-year-old Nairobi shoplifter, Alvin Linus Chivondo, has been sentenced to one year imprisonment or pay fine of Sh100,000. (Read More Here).


Alvin Linus Chivondo was charged with stealing 5kgs of rice, 5 litres of cooking oil, 2kgs of sugar, honey and tea leaves all totalling to KSh 3,165 from Naivas supermarket along Moi Avenue.

Appearing before Milimani Law Courts chief magistrate Wendy Micheni on Wednesday, April 13, Chivondo pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing and handling stolen goods.

Information reads: "Nairobi man sentenced to one year in prison or pay Sh100,000 fine for shoplifting from a Naivas supermarket. Alvin Linus Chivondo is accused of stealing 5kgs of rice, 5 litres of cooking oil, 2kgs of sugar and other items valued Sh3,165."
