Pimville resident, Kgomotso, dies after being shot dead by suspected foreigners posing as cable thieves in Soweto

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that a South African and Pimville young man, Kgomotso, has been shot dead by cable thieves yesterday. (Read More Here).

He seems to be the man Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini and the police spokesperson confirmed that was shot dead by Zimbabweans and Sotho nationals in Chicken Farm in Kliptown, Soweto, during a clash against constant theft of cables.

A source says: "This is Kgomotso who was killed by cable thugs. He had gone with the community to check cable thieves, as this was frequently affecting power supply in his area. His death does not have a political mileage, and Media and political parties will ignore his demise. A patriot!"

Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini wrote: "We just got shot at with AK47s and R5s in Soweto!
Zimbabweans and Sotho Nationals opened fire in a SA🇿🇦 community crowd that was attending to cable theft.
My guys got hit!
My guys got hit!

Police spokesperson Brigadier Brenda Muridili denied earlier claims Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla "Lux" Dlamini was shot and injured.

Muridili said a group of Operation Dudula members were marching to the Chicken Farm informal settlement complaining about cable theft by residents.

"There was an altercation where shots were fired. A man and woman were shot and injured. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The woman is at Kliptown police station opening a criminal case. It is not yet clear from which group the injured belong.

"Dlamini did not sustain any injuries. They are allegedly complaining about theft of electricity [cables] by the Chicken Farm dwellers," Muridili said.
