She had been stabbed and shot to death.

Our sources tell us one suspect has connections with a senior government official, while the other is employed in Mpumalanga.

City Press is reporting that one of the men was arrested at a guest house, but eNCA has been unable to independently verify this.

Provincial police are not prepared to officially confirm this information.

On Saturday, Police Minister Bheki Cele said three more suspects were being sought in connection with the case.

Statement from The EFF confirms two more people have been arrested reads:

"The Economic Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) welcomes the arrest of three suspects, in the investigation of the brutal murder of Hillary Gardee. After a commitment to make concrete progress on finding the perpetrators in a short period of time, the South African Police Service (SAPS) have not only made good on their promise after the arrest of a suspect on the eve of Hillary's funeral, but have apprehended two more suspects. The family and the EFF will allow the police to continue with their work, and ensure that they are provided with all manner of resources to enhance their investigation..."

Information reads:" BREAKING
Mpumalanga police have confirmed that TWO more people aged 47 and 52 have been arrested in connection with murder of #HillaryGardee.
