Riky 'Ricky' Rick and Gomora actor, Siyabonga 'Sdumo' Zubane, are two SA celebrities who have died through committing suicide in 2022

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Riky 'Ricky :Rick and Gomora actor, Siyabonga' Sdumo 'Zubane, have become two South African celebrities who have died through committing suicide in 2022. 


What could be the cause of the suicide? - Depression. In February 2022, it was reported that Riky Rick had committed suicide, leaving behind his wife and children. 

On Saturday, May 7, 2022, it was reported that Gomora actor, Siyabonga Zubane, had committed suicide. He died at the age of 23. His fans are currently in mourning mood.

Fellow cast member and veteran actress Connie Chiume, who plays Sonto on Gomora, confirmed the news to TshisaLIVE saying the production had just sent them messages announcing Zubane's tragic death.

“We are so devastated on why do we keep losing our young kids, our future leaders, talented people like this. What's going on, especially in our industry? We don't know what to say, what to do, something needs to be done.”

Zubane played the role of car hijacker and criminal Sdumo on the Mzansi Magic telenovela. He previously acted in Mzansi Magic's telenovela Isibaya and seemed to have a glowing career ahead of him.

M.N wrote: "Siyabonga Zubani AKA Sdumo from Gomora has sadly passed away from an apparent suicide. Details are still catchy at the moment. He was 23."
