Many are taken from their parents with the promise of a better life. According to the BBC investigator, Njeri, says the parents of the kids were deceived and promised money, but in the end their parents get nothing.

But instead they are enslaved and exploited - forced to beg on the streets across Kenya, often for years, while their captors take all the profits.

One of the trafficked disabled person forced to beg is Fara. According to information, he's been begging almost all his life as he was taken early from his mother, who agreed with Zengo and his gang to take him away over promise for money.

Fara says he hasn't been allowed to call his mother or any member of his family, as their phone numbers got deleted by Zengo and his fellow traffickers.

These kids were taken away from their parents in Tanzania and brought to the streets of Nairobi, Kenya, to engage in begging activities while sitting in their wheelchairs.

At night, they are taken back to the locked or protected house where they hand over their proceedings to the boss, Zengo. Zengo used to beat Fara for a few reasons, but does the beating when no one is around. Fara gets locked up in a room, which got broken during the police raid.

Njeri the investigator also travelled down to a village in Tanzania where she spoke with Kurwa's family. According to information, Kurwa got taken away from her family at age 9 by these pretentious traffickers to a city no one knows for now. She isn't part of the people who got trafficked by Zengo.

According to the investigator, Fara used to make at least Ksh2000 (Usd 18) per day from his begging activity in the streets of Kenya. Zengo is also a disabled man who uses a wheelchair.

In the trending documentary, Zengo got arrested by the police, detained and charged for human trafficking. Fara is safe, same with other beggars.
