Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Botswana government has paid tribute to late Ms. Jacqueline Tebogo Khama after her death.
It was announced by her family on May 24, 2022, that Ms. Jacqueline Tebogo, has died.
Botswana Government reports:
"MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING ON OF MS. JACQUELINE TEBOGO KHAMA
"We received the news of the passing on of Ms. Jacqueline Khama with shock and sadness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Khama family as you deal with your loss and with the absence of your beloved sister, mother, relative and friend.
"Ms. Jacqueline Khama has had a long and devoted service to our country, particularly looking at the years that she spent at the University of Botswana, in service. For that, she deserves commendation for her modest and gallant contribution.
"It is hard to know what to say in a situation like this, because there are never enough words that can fully capture the depth of what we’re feeling. However, the thoughts of comfort and the love that you are receiving from others will help to ease the sorrowful time.
"As Robert Louis Stevenson said: “Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.”
"My family and I pray that you derive solace from the wonderful memories that you have all shared with Jacqueline. May her Soul find Eternal Rest!

Further to the notice of the Gaborone memorial service taking place to pay tribute to Jackie Khama, we are pleased to be able to provide further details for the event.
"The venue has been confirmed as Sanitas tea gardens and the short ceremony will commence at 9am on Thursday 2nd June.
"Conscious of several requests from members of the public who may not be able to travel to Serowe, we are happy to welcome them at the Gaborone event."
