Lusaka man who caused the death of Kabwata UPND lawmaker Levy Mkandawire, Alick Jeta Kalenga has been sentenced to 12 months simple imprisonment

A Lusaka man who caused the death of Kabwata UPND lawmaker Levy Mkandawire, Alick Jeta Kalenga has been sentenced to 12 months simple imprisonment. (Read More Here).

High Court judge Ruth Chibbabbuka, who handed down the verdict a short while ago, ruled that Kalenga did not waste court's time, remorseful and pleaded guilty to the offense. 

The offense of causing death by dangerous driving attracts K9,000 fine or up to five years imprisonment.
