Former Mayor of Lamitan-Basilan, Mayor Rose Furigay, and two others shot and killed by in Ateneo shooting

3 confirmed deaths: mayor of Basilan, her body guard, and one of the Ateneo security guards at Gate 3, who tried to stop the shooter were shot dead. 

According to information Mayor’s daughter, who was one of the graduates, is in the hospital in critical condition. Ateneo shooter has been captured. (Read More Here).

QCPD: Ateneo shooter, on a gun ban, was able to kill three people just when the scheduled commencement exercises is about to begin. Casualties include former Lamitan, Basilan mayor, her executive assistant, and a security guard.

NCRPO confirms victims in Ateneo shooting: 

- former mayor Rosita Furigay, dead on arrival at World Citi Medical Center

- Hannah Furigay, 25, being treated at Quirino Memorial Medical Center

- Jeneven Bandiola, 35, dead on arrival at QMC.

PBGen Remus Medina, QCPD chief vows justice for the victims: "We express our sincere condolences to the victims, especially their families. We strongly condemn the incident because we do not tolerate any violence and injustice here in Quezon City."
