Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Lester Monegas has finally revealed why he left Nobita band after rumours of him getting kicked out because he's a supporter of Atty. Leni Robredo. (Read More Here).
According to information, Lester agreed he's a supporter of Atty. Leni Robredo, but disagreed with the trending rumours. According to him, he says he broke a group with chat rules.
Lester Monegas wrote:
"First and foremost, I apologize for not being able to give an immediate response to the circulating issue regarding me and my former bandmates all over the internet. I think that it heavily affected the speculations going on and the different reactions from the netizens are not helping the situation. Even I, myself, was surprised that it was posted by the page “Mga taong may underrated music taste personality disorder.” Knowing that the only person I’ve been talking to was my girlfriend, I sent her the post and asked her if she told anyone who could be responsible for submitting the issue to the page. I know for a fact that it’s never impossible for things like this to spread around easily— especially if the subject is crucial. We have a rule that everything being talked about in the group chat should remain unsaid. But as a human being, I am vulnerable over foul words, and I felt like I was discriminated and so I broke down and talked to her. I was wrong, I shouldn’t have told her in the first place about my personal problems with the band.
"I would like to end the speculations that I was the one who intentionally exposed the band. Apparently, the conversations were leaked and passed on to different people we failed to recognize.
"The page posted it without our consent. It immediately went viral and we couldn’t do anything to take them back and so we cooperated with the administrators of the page to take it down.
And to answer all of your questions and to summarize all these confusions:
Yes, I am a supporter of Atty. Leni Robredo and I don’t have the similar political stance with my ex-bandmates.
"I am now officially not part of the band, not because I was a kakampink— but because I failed to keep my silence about the conversations in our group chat. We have our differences, and I should’ve stayed silent about their political stance, knowing that politics is a major issue in the Philippines and cancel culture exists.
"But then again, I took those screenshots because I felt discriminated and only expressed my disappointment towards their foul words and treatment towards me.
"No, I did not wish this to happen or to blow up into an issue that this huge amount of people would be talking about us. I did not intend to put the band’s name and drag them but I also want to clearly state that I am not responsible for the people’s reactions towards the issue.
"I am more than willing to communicate with the band— talk about unfinished businesses and I expect the band to express professional treatment towards me because I know that I have done my best to have a healthy and successful relationship with them.
"I would still like to thank my former bandmates, Jaeson, Mark, Richmond, Sam, especially to Jonathan that gave me his trust and believed that I would do well as a performer and as a part of the band.
"To Sir Joel, I am deeply sorry for everything that has happened. I wish all of you well with your career and your future endeavors.
I would also like to thank Sony Music Family that welcomed me and helped me grow as a musician and as a person. I owe a part of myself to everyone who has been continuously supporting me and rooting for me since day one. I will always be open for growth and I wish nothing but the best for everyone.
