Outrage as Henry Cuellar is the only Democrat who voted against Women's Health Protection Act to protect the right to an abortion, 219 to 210 at The House today

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Outrage as Henry Cuellar is the only Democrat who voted against Women's Health Protection Act to protect the right to an abortion, 219 to 210 at The House today.

Information reads: "Breaking: The House just passed the Women's Health Protection Act to protect the right to an abortion, 219 to 210.
All Republicans and one Democrat voted against the bill."

The House has voted to restore abortion rights nationwide in Democrats’ first legislative response to the Supreme Court’s landmark decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

The bill has little chance of becoming law, with the necessary support lacking in the 50-50 Senate. Yet voting marks the beginning of a new era in the debate as lawmakers, governors and legislatures grapple with the impact of the court’s decision.

The legislation passed 219-210. The House also passed a second bill to prohibit punishment for a woman or child who decides to travel to another state to get an abortion, 223-205.

“Just three weeks ago the Supreme Court took a wrecking ball to the fundamental rights by overturning Roe v. Wade,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ahead of the votes, gathering with other Democratic women on the steps of the Capitol. “It is outrageous that 50 years later, women must again fight for our most basic rights against an extremist court.”

Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo, was the only Democrat to vote against the bill that would effectively codify Roe v. Wade. Cuellar also voted against a prior attempt last year to codify Roe. That measure passed the House but failed in the Senate. All Democrats, including Cuellar, and three Republicans voted for Fletcher's bill.

But even if other states are offering abortions, the process of making travel plans is lengthy and expensive. The people who will be able to receive an abortion will likely be more wealthy — and people of color are disproportionately impacted by these disparities.

“Texans are experiencing disruption in getting the health care they need at home by having to travel, having to pay for travel to take time off work, to get child care,” Fletcher said.

Henry Cuellar (D-Tex) is the Democrat.
Republicans are never our friends. Some Democrats are our friends. Most of both will always try to maintain the existing order - and the existing order will always have us at the bottom.

It’d be funny (sad) if we gained a seat in the Senate and kept the House by one seat, and now Cuellar, not Manchin, was the deciding vote on BBB.

Thank you Dr. Jill Biden, Ed.D. for clarifying that Democrats think Hispanics are “unique” like tacos.
However, I think you’re confused. We Texans love our bodegas.
Bowguhdahs must be where Joe’s Latinx puppet Henry Cuellar shops.

The Green Party is the only party that explicitly its platform supports the right to abortion. Democrats are willing to negotiate this away in order to win in places like Texas. (see: Henry Cuellar).

Motherfuck every House Republican and Henry Cuellar. Motherfuck Nancy Pelosi, Jim Clyburn, and the rest of the Democratic leadership who supported Cuellar's reelection campaign.
And preemptively, motherfuck Manchin and Sinema who will probably vote against it in the Senate.

"The one Democrat voting NO is Henry Cuellar, who recently won a primary with Dem leaders’ support.

The one Democrat is Rep. Cuellar, the anti-choice incumbent who Nancy Pelosi campaigned for.

“It is outrageous that 50 years later, women must again fight for our most basic rights against an extremist court” said Nancy Pelosi, who endorsed and campaigned for Henry Cuellar
