Chef Pii has gone viral for selling this mysterious sauce that no one knows how it tastes or how it is made. Pii, who hasn’t disclosed her full name, says her product is 100% safe, despite concerns from the world.
During an interview with The Washington Post, Pii opened up about this mysterious sauce. She says her product is legal and safe for consumption. She makes it in a commercial facility that is certified by the Food and Drug Administration, per the law. Many on TikTok assumed she made it out of her home kitchen because that’s what one of her videos suggested. She claims she’s been using her Pink Sauce on her food for clients for over a year.
“I’ve been using it and serving it to my clients for a year — no one has ever gotten sick,” she says. “I have a relationship with this sauce.
She has experienced a lot of early errors in her business, but she said she has it all figured out and apologizes to customers who experienced poor packing, or mistyped labels. Though she was initially secretive about the ingredients, she revealed that it includes sunflower seed oil, raw honey, milk, distilled vinegar and pitaya-dragonfruit to give it its distinctive hue. She shut down rumors that there is a mystery component in the sauce.
“I will not explain my process, and I won’t be bullied into it. Yes, the sauce is extremely controversial, but for my curious, artsy people that are actually into the Pink Sauce craze, I love y’all,” she said. “The haters are not taking my light away.”
Despite everything, Pii is ready to continue to sell her mysterious sauce to the world.
