I went to the meeting as accredited Media personnel and my job was to cover the event.
During lunch time I went to the old wing and while I was recording a woman that was selling shoes, a female officer, along with her colleagues, aggressively surrounded me and kept saying "you can't record here" I showed them my badge but that didn't mean anything to them.
The officer forced me to delete the video and she was adamant.
I actually felt like a non-Zambian The way she spoke to me...like I was an illegal immigrant.
I decided to leave because my goal is not to cause any trouble. My job is only to entertain and inform.
Thanks Zambia Police for the unnecessary harassment...I didn't see any non-Zambians being harassed the way you guys harassed me.
