2ND REMEMBRANCE ANNIVERSARY: 2 years ago today, Chadwick Boseman, sadly passed away after a 4-year battle with colon cancer

2 years ago today, Chadwick Boseman sadly passed away after a 4-year battle with colon cancer.

He starred in 7 films whilst undergoing countless surgeries and chemotherapy to battle his colon cancer.

The below mural was done by Nikkolas Smith, titled “King Chad”.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Chadwick Boseman sent this last text to Nate Moore was about sending a package of toys to a sick child:

“It broke me, man. But we need to do that for them. People deserve abundant life, special moments. They’ve been through hell battling disease… If we were able to ease their suffering and bring joy for a moment, and hopefully moments as he goes through the bags, then we made a difference in his life.”

Before his passing, Chadwick Boseman also donated $4.2M worth of PPE equipment to hospitals serving Black communities.

Since Chadwick’s passing, Howard University decided to honor their alumnus by renaming their College of Fine Arts to the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.

He has also been posthumously nominated for both his first Oscar and Emmy since his passing.

The Colon Cancer Foundation is currently taking both single & monthly recurring donations. These donations go towards spreading the message on CRC prevention and provide access to at-home screening tests that can detect it early.
