BIOGRAPHY, CAUSE OF DEATH AND AGE: Fans pay tribute to Rivers state celebrated police command, Nnamdi Omoni, after being confirmed dead

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Fans have paid tribute to Rivers state celebrated police command, Nnamdi Omoni, after being confirmed dead. 

Before his death, Omoni was the Divisional Police Officer for Elimgbu police station in Obio Akpor local government area.

He took up the position after his was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

The Rivers State Police command was, however, yet to issue a statement on the latest incident.

Udogu, according to a close source in the command was with his family on Wednesday evening, August 5th, 2021 watching a programme on television when he suddenly complained of chest pain and slumped soon afterwards.

His demise came exactly one year after his former deputy spokesman and world-class Volley Ball player, Christian Udogu, died.

Omoni hailed from Rundele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Omoni was the longest-serving police spokesman in the state, serving for over five years.

His successor, Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed his demise to our correspondent on Wednesday in a terse and sorrowful response, saying a statement to that effect was being prepared.

A fan wrote: "With a pool of tears in my eyes, broken and shattered heart 💔💔 though it’s hard to say, but I just have to say Rest In Peace SP Barr. Nnamdi Omoni. 
You will forever remain in our hearts sweet and lovely brother.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭."

Iringe-Koko said, “I am preparing a press statement. It will be released as soon as the Commissioner of Police approves it.”
