Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke who was rejected by the Ahiara Diocese, Imo State is now the Head of the Catholic Church in Nigeria by virtue of being the only active Cardinal.
Okojie, Arinze and Onaiyekan are no longer young while Ekandem has passed on.
He is the 5th Cardinal from Nigeria and now eligible to be elected as POPE
