According to @abcnews, Dowse, who is known for her roles in projects such as "Ray," "Coach Carter," "90210," "Insecure," and many others passed away after a battle with meningitis.
Her sister Tracey Dowse announced the news of her passing on Saturday and said, "I want to take this moment to thank our friends and family for all of the love and prayers. It is with a very heavy heart that I inform everyone that my sister, Denise Dowse, has gone forward to meet our family in eternal life."
Earlier this month, Tracey shared that Denise had been in a coma "brought on by a virulent form of meningitis.
