Drunk driver, Omoregie Jeffrey, kills 28-yr-old man set to relocate to Canada for his Masters this month

The family of one Omoregie Jeffrey is seeking justice after a drunk driver, suspected to be a yahoo boy, knocked him to death in Benin City, Edo State. 

It was gathered that the yet-to-be-identified drunk driver was on high speed when he hit the deceased in the late hours of Tuesday, August 9. 

According to a source, “Jeffery is 28-year-old and he just got a scholarship and admission to Canada to study for his masters in engineering and was to travel on the 28th of this month, he was a very promising young man. 

He is a petroleum engineering graduate of the University of Benin and just came back from his association conference of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in Lagos to prepare for his travel.

The yahoo boy was arrested and taken to the police station but the police have refused to disclose his identity. They told the family of deceased that he was moved to Adesuwa police station and this turned out to be a lie because the station said the boy had not been moved and that there was some foul play in the previous station.”
