Suspected Killer of a Woman Found Dead in Malabon City, Falls; ARD Estomo Assured Air-tight Complaint*
"National Capital Region Police Office Acting Regional Director PBGEN Jonnel C Estomo lauded the strong coordination of the community with the investigators that resulted in the solution of a crime on August 22, 2022 at about 6:30Pm at 12 A Cruz Street, Brgy. Baritan, Malabon City, where a lifeless body of the victim was found.
"In a report to ARD Estomo, the victim was identified as Lovely Ann Villagomez y Bantiling, 29 years old, call center agent and resident of Nr. 12 A. Cruz Street, Brgy. Baritan, Malabon City. Initial report disclosed that the witness identified as Kevin Louie Lim y Neri, 30 yrs old, boyfriend of the victim, sales executive of CEL Logistics went to the victim’s house after the former got worried when the victim failed to answer his calls and text messages. Lim claimed that he peeped on the door and discovered the bloodied lifeless victim slumped on the floor prompting him to seek the assistance of Barangay Watchmen who informed the personnel of Sub-Station 7 of Malabon City Police Station.
"Further investigation showed that the lifeless body of the victim was found wearing no lower garment and her pet dog was also found dead lying beside her. During the conduct of follow-up operation, operatives together with CIDG NPDFU were dispatched and were able to gather CCTV footages showing the suspect entering the house where the victim was found dead at about 1:10PM and went out from the same house at about 1:55PM of the same date. It shows that no other person was seen entering the house until the discovery of the crime.
"However, through the speedy circulation of information in social media, a concerned citizen disclosed the identity of the suspect seen on CCTV footage and was identified as Jaemark Reyes y Dongallo alyas Jenmark, of legal age, male and a resident of Mallari Street, Brgy., San Agustin and Pantihan 2, Brgy Flores, Malabon City.
"Furthermore, at about 11:00PM of the same date, another witness identified as Edmond Khen Garcia y Fajardo, 22 yrs old, male single, e-trike driver and resident of #3 Celia 2, Bayanbayanan, Malabon City claimed that the suspect boarded his e-trike near the place of incident. He also observed that the suspect was in a hurry, uneasy and distressed.
"Likewise, based on the accounts of the suspect’s relative, the suspect confessed that he had just killed someone and asked for money for fare in going to his grandfather’s house in Bulacan.
"After gathering of necessary information, relative to the possible whereabouts of the suspect, investigators proceeded to Malolos, Bulacan for possible arrest of the suspect. On August 23, 2022 at about 12:30AM, they effected the arrest of the suspect.
Statement reads:
“The immediate resolution of this gruesome crime is attributed to the trust and confidence of the public towards our police force. The information relayed to our police on the ground about suspicious activities or individuals is a great factor in the solution of crimes committed in their respective areas. We already ordered a thorough and diligent preparation of an air-tight complaint against the suspect and we will closely monitor the development of this incident.” PBGEN Estomo stated.
