Marciano Cantero , the singer of Enanitos Verdes, died this Thursday at the age of 62, in Mendoza, where he was admitted to the Cuyo Clinic. He had undergone emergency surgery last week and had a kidney and part of his spleen removed.
According to his brother Eduardo, "His health has worsened in the last ten days. He came back very tired from a tour of 42 concerts, 23 in Mexico and 19 in the United States. They discovered a kidney tumor and that's why they operated on him."
During the last days there was great concern among his fans and many messages of encouragement on social networks. Enanitos Verdes is not only one of the pioneering bands in the export of Argentine rock , but also has the most listened to song on Spotify: Lamento boliviano , with more than 394 million listeners.
