Namibian and Botswana governments have agreed to abolish the use of passports for travel between the two countries

Namibian and Botswana governments have agreed to abolish the use of passports for travel between the two countries. Citizens of the two countries will now use Identity Cards.

President Hage Geingob made the announcement during the inaugural session of the Bi-National Commission underway in Gaborone.

Hopewell wrote: "President @OfficialMasisi of Botswana came to Zimbabwe for a Bi-National Commission meeting with Mnangagwa.
The only thing that came out of it was his sanctions propaganda.

"Today he is having a Bi-National with Namibia.
They have agreed that their citizens won’t use passports

"Citizens of Botswana and Namibia will now use Identity Cards to cross into each other’s countries, not passports, President Hage Geingob of Namibia announced.

"This can only happen with countries that are run properly and when they won’t be an economic burden on each other."
