The host announced his leave on Thursday after telling the audience that his time on the show is ending. According to TMZ, a close source to Comedy Central said Trevor Noah is finishing his hosting gig due to his schedule, and it's too much for him to commit to a daily show. It is unclear when he is officially leaving but a scheduled timeline is in the works.
"We are grateful to Trevor for our amazing partnership over the past "seven years. As we look ahead, we're excited for the next chapter in the 25+ year history of '"The Daily Show," Comedy Central said in a statement to the outlet.
