According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Lagos police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police officer identified as Inspector Rowland Uankhehi, was beaten by the suspects on Friday, September 16, when he arrested a recalcitrant motorcycle rider.
He sustained various degree of injuries before he was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical treatment. However, Benjamin noted that the suspects are chilling in police custody and will face the full wrath of the law.
